Alex Morgan closed her career as a Golden Bear the same manner in which she began it - as the California women's soccer team's season- leading scorer. Morgan concluded her four years in Berkeley tied for the third all-time scorer in California history with 45 goals and in sole possession of third place in terms of points 107. If Morgan had not been helped the U.S. Senior National team quality for the 2011 World Cup, she would no doubt hold first place in both of those categories.
As a senior, she played in only 12 games for the Bears due to being called up to the U.S. National Team. Despite her limited time with Cal in 2010, she still led the Bears in goals (14) and points (30) and was first in the nation for the majority of the season in goal scoring. Regardless of the goals and points accumulated, Morgan holds her own in terms by her accolades alone. She capped off her career with her first-ever NSCAA All-American honors, collecting first-team placement. A four-time All-Pac-10 selection, the Diamond Bar, Calif., native earned first-team conference laurels in 2010 and 2009 and was a player of the year candidate in both seasons.
